![]() The time has come for Juliana to gather forces together and fight against the villainous enemies taking over their land. The dark shadow cast by the evil Siroth is spreading like wildfire across Teleria. They are required to cross over into the mainland to find new recruits. The Arbiter requires the team to push on with their quest. Beside her stand Woad-Painted and Shaman her new companions. Juliana, our main character from the Banner Lords faction comes into focus. The camera slowly moves forward over the map of Teleria and focuses into a desert landscape. This piece is ‘inspired’ by the game Raid and my passion for gaming. ![]() I do not pretend to be a professional games writer and any professionals in the gaming industry please leave your judgements at the door. My aim is to make my game writing accessible to a broad reader base and taken this article in the direction to propose the narrative as such. ![]() As usual we follow Juliana, our main character to continue the series I am profoundly inspired by female empowerment and so my storyline is geared around a female warrior as the core character of my narration.Īgain, for the purpose of creating enticing narration, though the game writing is in the format of a ‘gaming script’ it is in actual fact written as a narrative storyline in order to suit the generalist reader. As the series develops I am reimagining the world of Raid: Shadow legends where I am creating binding friendships, imagining dynasties and family bloodlines, developing stories of undying love and treacherous deceptions. The story in this second in the series of game writing scripts continues leading the reader to new territories. As usual, being a storyteller, my recent gaming experiences have affected my writing to the point that I have dreamt out new stories based on the characters in the gaming world. If you missed the first in the series of game writing scripts, I would go back and read it so that you are able to catch up on the storyline. What I love about each resurrection of a warrior is the excitement of ‘who will be my next warrior?’. The Arbiter, a beautiful red-head mysterious warrior, is the resurrector who brings your character to life and relies on you to fight against evil and help resurrect more warriors to come to battle. Afterall, every shard has the ability to resurrect a new champion which will fight beside you in an effort to overthrow the evil Siroth who has cast a dark shadow upon Teleria. I am so addicted to the game, I spend countless nights raiding to gain experience, to collect potions, to complete challenges and to collect precious shards. It is a bewitching game, full of exciting battles, strategic gameplay, and endless choices for the player to upgrade their characters into powerful warriors. Taking place in the wonderous realm of Teleria, your characters fight their way through dangerous fortresses lined with villainous enemies, from castles, dungeons, deserts and temples. Every character is deliciously decorated in stunning armour, you find it hard not to gasp at their magnificence. From High Elves to Banner Lords, the choices are endless – in fact it boasts over 300 characters. What also drew me to the game are the fantastic graphics and the fabulous array of races. What I love most about Raid is that it is a fantasy-themed game I am a great fan of fantasy and prefer it to sci-fi (Oh no! Shock horror!). Raid: Shadow Legends is a turn-based RPG which can be played on PC or mobile device. Do you recognise them? Are any of these characters your favourites in gameplay? Expect new developments in the narrative, twists in the storyline and new characters revealed along the way from our beloved Raid characters. Welcome to my second (#2) in the series of game writing scripts which are inspired by the game Raid: Shadow Legends. And if gaming is your passion then use it! But, as always I am here to encourage you to write about what you love. Realistically speaking, competition is so high that very few ever are lucky enough to become a games writer as a fully-fledged career. Becoming a game writer is no easy task and chances are slim of ever becoming one.
